Expanded clay and perlite hollow block is a high-class ecological construction product made of very lightweight aggregate, the expanded clay. Its additional component is perlite, which helps maintain high thermal insulation. The hollow block is perfect for building energy-saving and passive houses with very low energy demand. It is designed for erecting external supporting walls above the ground as well as basements. Thanks to the use of expanded clay, which in the production process was fired at about 1200˚C, the hollow block is resistant to fire, moisture and frost. An additional advantage of the product is its crevice structure, by which it gains better thermal insulation. Very effectively blocks the transmission of sounds between adjacent rooms. The relatively smooth surface of the hollow block makes it possible not to use internal plasters. Thanks to the high quality of the element, a thin layer mortar can be applied.
