Expanded clay and perlite hollow block is a high-quality building unit based on ecological aggregates. Despite its low weight, the hollow block is very durable, which permits to erect load-bearing walls, partitions, masonry structures, single-leaf walls and basements. It has a high coefficient of thermal resistance, which means that insulates heat very well and shows high vapour permeability. This in turn provides an unusual atmosphere in the room. In addition, high fire resistance prevents its spread. The hollow block has a relatively smooth outer surface, thereby it does not require plastering. The accuracy of dimensions and even edges allow for the use of thin-layer mortars. The hollow block can be easily machined.
