24 cm wide CJ Blok® type ALFA concrete foundation hollow block is a building unit of high quality and increased resistance parameters. High durability of the hollow block (25 MPa) allows for its use in multi-family housing, public buildings, e.g. schools, kindergartens, workplaces, warehouses, etc. It is used to build facing or exposed walls, foundation retaining walls and fences. The units are built using traditional mortar. Thanks to large dimensions, the construction of walls is much faster than in case of using traditional materials. The air voids in the hollow block guarantee better thermal resistance than with a normal concrete block. However, they are not pass-through, but closed with a sealed surface of the hollow block. During the construction, the hollow block is positioned with the sealed side up, which makes it easier to spread the mortar. Thanks to this, the mortar does not fall into the hollow block’s cavities. With proper and tight construction of the wall and moisture insulation it is not possible for water to get into the air voids. The foundation hollow block has a high fire resistance and smooth outer surface.
